Build a data-led influencer strategy that wows your bosses
It seems like every business wants to try working with influencers and creators... but how can you truly kick ass with the influencer channel? To answer this question, I spoke with Daniella Capodilupo, who has 8 years of experience working with influencers, brand and agency-side.
Listen and you’ll learn how to get buy-in from influencers, how to set up effective campaigns, and the data points you need (but might not expect) that show ROI to your bosses. We even brainstormed a little on how to grow a show (like this one!) with influencers.

We discussed ideas like:
📖 The importance and challenge of finding influencer partners that can tell an authentic, relatable story, and connect it with your product or service.
📊 Seeing indirect ROI from influencers is tricky but doable. Exit interviews are one such method that shows how content and influencers can play their parts in the multiple touches leading to a buying decision.
🧪 Be transparent to your company leaders by showing the risks, potential results, and tying everything back to a number. Lead with a hypothesis and remind them that you need to start and test somewhere.
❓ Ask influencers for their rates, and don’t propose a price. This allows you to then check if you’re approved within your budget or CPM range, and allows you to keep a database of who to work with, and for what price.
